YOGA HOLIDAY

YOGA HOLIDAY

As the world progresses every day, our lives are becoming more complex and hectic. And, every now and then, we feel the need to disconnect from reality and go into a safe zone where we can relax, unwind, and rejuvenate ourselves. Many of us go on planned holidays every now and then to refresh our mind, but what we tend to overlook is the need to do the same for our body and soul. After all, a balanced connection between our mind, body, soul is the only definitive secret to a healthy, happy life.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

At Kashish Yoga, we offer you the opportunity to customize your own yoga holiday. What this means is that you get to choose the duration of your holiday and we design a program schedule for you in a way that gives you time to immerse yourself in yoga practices as well as leave you with ample leisure time to explore the tropical goodness of Goa.

We are extremely flexible with our schedule and we provide you with various choice of activities which you can or cannot participate in, depending totally on your wishes and frame of mind.

During our program, we offer you a chance to practice Hatha, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, AERIAL, Yin, Acro and Kundalini styles of yoga (whichever is scheduled) during your stay, along with meditation, yoga discussions, and bhajan. Let us take a quick look at what these entail:

HATHA YOGA

To put it simply, Hatha is the basic foundation that one needs before they delve any deeper in the practice of yoga. This type teaches you to learn how to align and calm your mind, body, and soul along with practicing a few basic postures. A gentle form, it is specifically good if you are a beginner or completely new to Yoga practices. Hatha belongs to one of the oldest practiced forms of yoga that not only includes practicing yoga postures but also mastering the technique of breathing so you can learn how to control the flow of your breathing in accordance with your yoga. During your hatha practice, you will also learn about Suryanamaskara. Also known as sun salutation, this is a complete yoga series which caters to everything from your head to toe and within.

ASHTANGA YOGA

Made famous by K. Pattabhi Jois in the 20th century, Ashtanga is a dynamic form of yoga which concentrates on eight limbs which are yama, nimyana, asanas, pranayama, pratyahara, dharana, dhyana, and Samadhi. As you go deeper into the practice, you will learn that Ahstanga yoga has a set of six defined sequences. One must master them in an order and should only move to the next sequence once they are certain about it. Ashtanga yoga is more challenging than Hatha and demands a lot out of you which is great if you require a fully mind and body workout.

VINYASA YOGA

A sub-sector of Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa is more about smooth and effortless transitions between a series of strategically planned postures. There are various difficulty levels of the type, however, since it is a part of your yoga holiday experience, we would only enable you to practice a flow that is soothing and apt for your body and health. The main purpose of Vinyasa is to allow you control and align your breathing with your mind and body and in doing so, it intensifies the mind-body connection and helps you improve your flexibility and overall strength.

MEDITATION

Known as dhyana in yogic language, Meditation, in simple terms, is the technique of bringing your body and mind to a state of rest and attain a state of mindful consciousness which is unlike any other experience you have ever experience. The significance of meditation cannot be highlighted enough, especially if you have a frantic work-life schedule. While meditating, you are in a completely awake state but rather than focusing on the world outside of you, you are guided to take a journey to the world inside of you and connect with your inner self instead of what’s happening outside.

AERIAL YOGA

Aerial is fun and gentle way to get strong, relieve pain and heal the body. Swings support the body’s weight, enhance our range of motion and allow us to stretch deeper and work a greater range of back and core muscles. Aerial offers great therapeutic benefits. We use gravity to decompress the spine, realign the vertebrae, relieve disc and nerve pressure, which causes pain. Most importantly, it’s fun and makes people smile :). Honestly, so many students say it is the best time of their life.

YIN YOGA

Yin yoga teaches you to relax your body deeply, calm your emotions, stimulate the vital energy of the meridians (similar to nadi) and organs, while inducing a deep and intense stretching. Supports such as cushions, balls, tiles are used to allow the body to enter deeply into the asanas thus letting the energy flow and remove the emotional blocks that lead to physical blocks. The purpose of yin yoga is to relax the muscles and stimulate the connective tissue by applying optimal tension for a while whilst maintaining a deep breathing.
